Strange object comped into photo

Well here is a model i made, just felt like modelling something different. It is a ball holder of sorts, i have been thinking what the parts can be, The larger balls are for sideways movement and the rings are magnetic and create a field around the central ball which would be the important piece that is being protected. The central peice has hydrolics poles that can withstand shock etc. All very stange hehehe.

I have modelled it in Max 5, rendered with brazil and comped with photoshop.

Question: Max can render out seperate layers with the standard scanline renderer which is good for comping. Does brazil have the same thing. I had to render the shadows seperately and also the slight bench reflection by making the objects invisable etc. Are there any tuts for comping using brazil etc.

Cheers,
Xmamx

agreed, very nicely made, and very good work polishing it into a realistic looking object
