Question Help with shadows

Hi all

I need help. For controlling, I rendered a scene I´m making just to check how things are. But I get some strange shadow problems as can be seen on the image attached to this post.

I´m using 3dSm 5, the light is a target spot with the standard options except the "shadows on" is checked with "Shadow map",
the multipler is at 1.5.

The geometry is made out of one part.

Any suggestions or help?

Thanx in advance
Dietmar

instead, try using an omnilight with a multiplier of about 0.7, and stick it up above the model quite high. Also add a skylight set to about 0.5, and stick it anywhere (doesn't matter).

Thanx to your quick reply! I use now the skylight with the light-tracer and a additional omnilight and the scene looks quit good so far.
