Need Help In 3ds MAX!
Hey
I'm making a model at the moment and I need the edit a shape. The shape is a cube. So I go to Edit poly then choose polygon or vertex. I only get eight dots on the corners to work with. My question is, how do i get more in the middle and all around the shape so i can create a shape i want? Please Help. Thanks. |

when you first create the cube use the tool that allows you to determine how many segments for height, width etc etc.
or if you don't wanna create another cube then just simply use the cut tool or quick slice tool in the polygon rollout.. or the add vertices tool...

When I'm working with a cube that doesn't have enough material in it to work with, I usually convert it to editable poly and hit MSmooth on the geometry rollout. that makes it more spherelike though, but at least it gives more verticies to work with.
Hope that helps,
