Ink n Paint in 3DS Max

Hi,

I've started looking at the ink n paint controls in 3D studio. I think it's meant to be used for toon rendering. So far I've been really unhappy with the results I've been getting. The lines look really jagged and kind of broken rather than smooth and continuous and the anti-aliasing looks terrible. The images in the manual and help files look so much cleaner and smoother. I've tried messing around with all the settings but I still cant get rid of that jagged look. Can anyone tell me where I'm going wrong?

Thanks
