Diff in clarity b/w rendered and saved images

I use max 6.
Whenever I render an image or avi its very clear.
When I save it and then see it later its not as clear. Its compartively fuzzy.

But when I take a print screen and paste and use Photoshop- then there is no loss of clarity.

Do u guy have the same exp.?
What should I do to get same the same clarity?
What about Maya? Is this thing only with max or with all ani softwares?

Its not cause of hardware is it?
I have a P4 2.8 with NO graphic card.

I think it is the jpeg compression (it is a jpeg right?). Try putting these settings into the dialog box that pops up when you try to save as jpeg (see image).
