3ds max 7 motion blur on propellor help!
hello,
I am creating a helicopter animation, and am having issues with motion blurring the rotors. The helicopter is moving forwards, and the motion blur is being applied to both the forward motion as well as the rotation motion. How can I resolv this? Also, the heliopter rotors are not rotating at constant speed. The whole 'ease-in' ease out in te track view is a bit of a problem. For the rotation i made a 360 degree turn within 10 frames, and then used track view-cycle to keep it rotating, but the whole slowing down ad speeding up thing is a big problem. My main issue is the motion blur. thanks in advance. - tex4kkp |

Where have you applied the motion blur? Have you applied through your camera? or through the properties on the whole of the object? I think you can apply it to only each rotor blade through the right click properties, but dont use scene motion blur, only object. If it is the camera, then turn that off, as it will motion blur everything. See if that works.

I am using object motion blur. It blurs fine when the helicopter is stationary and the rotors are rotating, but when i move the helicopter, the rotors blur forwards as well as around.
this effect looksvery ridiculous. |
