help with multiple splines
hey guys
pretty simple question to answer i believe, but i need some help im currently using multiple splines in a model (im new) and i was wondering: 1. once a spline is closed or completed, how can i add another vertex to it without having to delete and re-create? 2. since im using multiple splines, i was wondering how to connect to seperate splines together at a single vertex edit** sorry im using 3dsm6 thanks, nota Last edited by notaloser; 15-01-2005 at 01:28 AM.. |

To add vertices to a spline use the refine tool.

welll once the splines are attached, try to line up the vertices. Then select them both, right click and find "Weld" in the lower left quad menu.
If this wasn't what you were asking, sorry.

i think that should work, im doing the R390 GT tutorial, and im on the spline stage, do you know if this is the method he uses?
i dont think it is because his splines are connected at common vertices but all of his splines are still different colors http://67.15.36.49/team/Tutorials/nissan/images/005.gif Last edited by notaloser; 15-01-2005 at 01:47 AM.. |

in that image, it would appear that the spines are still all seperate oblects, and the vertices from each spline just share the same coordinates. An easy way to do this is to use your snap tool (make sure vertices is the only thing checked), and select one vertice and snap to another. See image.
