I don't use vray, but I know a common cuase of this problem is that for GI or other complex renderings the samples is set to low, so the shadows are grainy.
Another cause is, when something is bump mapped if the tiling is set to high, or a noise map is so small that there are not enough pixels to acuately describe it, it will be seemingly random in a render what pixels are black (to show bump) and what aren't. So with multiple frames, even if the camera angle never changes, this can cause flickering. I think it is called 'sintilating' or something like that.

*cough* get a legal version ! *cough*...
this is an authorization issue. if you got a legal version, contact chaosgroup and re-authorize you vray. if you still got a flicker in your animation, play around with the qmc and aa settings and take a look at this page: vray.info another good site for more informatons about that topic is the chaoticdimension forum (link) just do a search for flicker... Cracked vray`s have animation flicker.
If your copy is legal and I have no reason to doubt it isin`t then contact vrayrender.....obviously you have issues with your renderer and they should be aware of it. |
