try it here: vrayrender.com
 the free version doesnt have the vray materials and less render settings, so if you want to test vray's full capacity, download the demo version which is limited to 30 days. btw, if you are a student, you could also get a educational version. the educational price for one licence of the VRay Advanced package is $250. Further discounts could be made when several copies are purchased at a time. Olli

I have removed a post for obviouse reasons. And for people that would concider such an offer;
You are not permitted to distribute the software due to the end user licence you agree to while installing it on your computer. Concider this a favour but also a warning... Such a behaviour is a serious offence and has serious penalties. Black

I used Mentalray and even Default Scanline with max for 6 years. I then got Vray, and my renders looked so much better within a couple of weeks. It's incredible.
