Creating Textures

Evenin' all :]

Just wondering if anyone has found any tutorials or has any tips on creating your own textures including bump maps etc.

Also, what about creating them from pictures taken by (for example) a digital camera? (high quality of course :P)

hi

creating your own textures is a great way to go.
Especially if you have your own digicam.
You can create your own base map and add dirt maps whatever to get the final result.3dtotal has some tuts on that.
Bumps are just a greyscale of your color map with the contrast adjusted to show more black and white areas.
