Another Shiney Car :P
Okay, after the failure of my last project i decided just to have some fun, and maybe learn abit more about poly modeling along the way. So i was thinking about what to model and dedided that a car would be the best thing to do, as there are tons of tutorials on modeling them so if i get stuck i can hopefully find a solution pretty easily.
Im not using and referances because painstakingly following blueprints is not my idea of fun Anyway... here is where i started : i might add that this is my 1st car and my 1st propper attempt at poly modeling. just need to upload next image.... |

You are doing great job!
Your model makes the feeling that the body has the mass that it has... if you know what I mean? How you do that it displays both mesh and wire?

Ctrl+V with the model selected to copy it, add a push modifier with a value of 0.25-40approx on top of the copy, and reduce the meshsmooth iterations one down from the original and then make a new material with wire enabled, adjust the wire thickness and diffuse colour and then click assign to selection, also you can try adding a relax modifier over the push mod and fiddle around with the values for a tighter fit.
Hope that helps another update in a minute,.... stylus... |
