Smile Manga head model - my first attempt at modeling a character

Here's the beginning of Tsubo, Cibo, Shibo, or whatever she's called - it's a character from "Blame!" manga. I've wanted to do this a long time ago, but finally, I got myself to to modeling her. It's my first human model, and my third work so far.

Software used: Lightwave 8.

She's looking a bit strange, but I've tried to reproduce the character exactly as it appears in the manga. Don't look at the neck, I haven't started working on it yet. What do you think of the head? I must fix the small problems with the eyes.

Any suggestions, comments?

Ride on!

i can see the resemblence to the refs, but you missed out on one thing, you only modeled the parts of the head you could see.... remember there is a head underneath that hair (even if the person has long hair, there is head on the sides of their faces too)

in other words, your eyes are far too far apart.... doesnt look human when you mount the eyes so far out (i dont know... mount sounds like the right word in this instance)

Talking Progress on my model!

I am so happy, although it's early morning and I have to be at work three hours from now... but hey, passions should be followed, right?

So, I made corrections on the head. It doesnt't look like an alien any more, it's human!

I will finish some details, then texture it, before moving on to the neck and body.

Suggestions and comments welcome!

Here is the torso. I know I have to work more on the neck/torso contact area and the collarbones.

I would like your comments and criticisms on the breasts.
I made them asymmetrical, to be a little more realistic, although manga characters tend to be quite the opposite - completely symmetrical.

What do you think of the breasts, and the torso - is it too wide, should the breasts be wider, to come to the end of both sides of the torso?

Thanks!

try working with more reference images, or get a girlfriend
the head is going in the good direction, the torso/breasts need allot of work.
