Mmm White Tattoo Ink?
Well yeah sure. In temporary and really unhealthy situations. I have heard of things such. But in a real and meant to last taottoo. IS a something. I don't think that you are saying it out of your behind. The point is that the colours are not JUST there. I mean there is not just a 'white colour substance' that you use to make it or in the simiallar red blue or green. And as for the general components used to create the colour WHITE are usually very poisonous to the human skin. Thus leaving it out of the tattoo-spectrum. But that said.. with where we have gotton with in chemistry IS a wonder! Like if nothing for cosmetics they have a demand for usable white. I am sure they must of found something. But I just haven(t heard of it. Hell they have 'Glow'N'Dark' tattoos aparently now(INTRESTING link).. what am I saying? So well you see. The thing is NOT really about "hey there is white" or not.. but more the fact about 'it looks convincing' or it does not. And honestly.. when you have it white'd... does it not give the feel more like a fake/painted tattoo to compair?

A friend of mine had a tribal tattoo around her ankle done in white. Very hard to see unless you were looking but it WAS white...I wasn't saying white is a good choice, merely that there IS white tattoo ink.
Orkron.

Yes there is white ink for tattoos. My mom has a tattoo with white on it. Just that the white ink doesn't show very good on the skin because they are so close in color.
Anyways just wanted to say yes there is white ink for tattoos. And that is not poisonous or anything, well just as poisonous as any other tattoo ink. |

yes, there are white ink tattoos. They are impossible to get removed as well. As permanant as tattoos are, white ink tattoos are even more so. There is something about the ink that makes it impossible to get removed. Dunno why, but its true.

Probably because laser removal depends on a difference in shade between the skin to be kept and the ink to be 'zapped', like hair removal.
I need a tattoo idea so I can get back in this. ....dang. I typed this up and left is sitting here for almost 2 hours. |

Hmm this thread is getting REALLY intresting...
But we should really get back to the 'contest' part of it. Or Michael is going to get really mad at me. ![]() I had better investigate this matter a bit more when I have the time to spare. It realy caught my intrest. So it seems that you have to sort of go with the fact that you have the whole spectrum of colours to work with. One small note though: Because of the texture that Michael gave out... we are all in the conclusion of a tan skin. There are a variaty of skin colours out there. And some may compliment you design a bit more than others. It is not too difficult tweek the colour value of the texture to your liking. And since there is such a thing as white colour, could I presume that it would work in inhancing the brightness? (Or is it very opaque and not so dominant in covering?) I do have something due for tomorrow.. but I'll see if I could post an image instead of all this talk.

Dead-Line
Hello everyone..
I just got a private message from a member that sort of has a point in asking: You have to understand that setting the colaberation with the 3D department was not too easy on Michael, as many assets had to be figured out. So I guess thats why the deadline was forgotten to be mentioned. Most of you already know the rules by now. But for those who are new here, the contests begin on Sundays, allowing a week and a halve to give in your entries. Thus this wednesday should be the regular deadline unless Michael states it any diffrent. After the deadlines you have until Sunday to vote for the top three tattoo's to your liking. Do not take this as an OFFICIAL anouncement. It is just how it has been so far. But in any case; since he is one of the last people to ever want to make it more difficult for you, I presume it would be the same this time aswel.

hahaha.. well let me try and liven things up a bit then (A post IS a post isn't it?
)This was a sort of idea that came to me after all the white-ink bit. (Though I am now thinking of using that ink. A few white touch-ups would really enhance the bio-look I think) Well not really complete yet. I worked on it on and off in between things. But the total of time spent would estimate to 4 or so hours. I don't really think I would ever be able to finish this guy before tomorrow, soo well hope you like it.(Actually what I CAN do later on is post a series of WIP images of it in smaller format. I keep earlier stages of some works shall I presume the WIP gather would prove intresting)
