Cool searchin tutorials for modelling a character

Hello.
I tried many typical tutorials for creating (female) characters like the 5-star-Ones in the "creativ-ones"forum, but the most are very simple low low and lower polygon-modelling-tutorials.
Joan Arc is not bad, but I want something more realistic, or more anime-style. I've searched so many times, but find nothing.
So please HELP!!!

Another Reason: I go no talent for organic modelling...and i do not hope so.

Thx 4 all posts

First I'd have to say that the Joan of Arc tutorial is worth completing if you haven't done so already. It might not be as realistic or anime-style as you'd like, but it is very good at teaching you how to model any sort of character.....the same techniques can be used for whatever style you choose.

Second, if you look over at 3dtotal.com you'll find there a few other excellent tutorials for modelling characters.

I'd thoroughly recommend Julian Jeremy Johnson-Mortimer's tutorials, which are aimed at Maya (i'm not sure what software you're using) but you should be able to work thru them im Max or other 3D programs.
His tutorials are:
"Creating and Modelling a Character"
"Dr Julians Texturing Tutorial"
"Character WalkThough"

And if you browse through all the tutorials there you'll find plently more that should come in handy. There's a wealth of tutorials there covering all sorts of subjects relating to 3D.

But if thats still not what you're looking for, well I'd have to say that you'd be best to work thru those tutorials anyway. It'll give you the practise, valuable experience, and confidence you need to then take the initiative and create something on your own, in whatever style you like (realistic, anime etc etc).

I hope this helps. Just remember that at the end of the day it's best to learn as much as you can from tutorials until you're at the stage where you no longer need to use those tutorials
