Angry Rotate 3D Textures

Hello guys,
i'm trying to use a wood standard texture in 3D Studio Max, but when i try to rotate it with the UVW Mapping gizmo, it haven't effect! I tried to change mapping, to adapt, to change allignment, with 2D textures (like bricks) it works, with the 3D no.
Someone can help me?

Are you modifying the appropiate UVW channel? If the texture is set to use channel 2, and the UVW Mapping is modding channel 1, you won't see much effect.

If i use the "channel map" (i'm traslating from italian) it doesn't work.
I have to use objext XYZ, so the channel doesn't matter. And however i tryed, it's 1 on both.

So far i know, 3d texutres don't need uv mapping modifing on your geometry.
cos its a 3d material it can calculate it's own cooridinates.
You will need to do that within your material editor to rotate the 3d texture to your desired angle.
