WWII Soldier
Here is my work in progress soldier. I have textured the head already, but the body is still under construction. I am using 3d Max.
Any comments or critiques would be appreciated. Thanks! |

By the way, does his head look too small for his body? I'm thinking it might be.
Thanks again! |

The proportions are fine, ktwebster, only thing bothering me is that his feet seem to be a little small. ( feet, not legs... legs are fine )
Nice texturing, though could be better if you added some proper illumination. Maybe next update? It doesn't look real, nor does it look cartoonish. It looks like a soldier model from a PC game. I've noticed you saving polygons... Is it because it's for a pc game?

Tank and Freespace: Thank you for your comments.
I agree that it doesn't look photorealistic. I was aiming for a good quality video game character. How does it hold up to that standard? I haven't done any work on the lighting, right now it's just the generic 3d max lighting. Thanks for the info on the feet, I'll work on that next. |
