WWII Soldier

Here is my work in progress soldier. I have textured the head already, but the body is still under construction. I am using 3d Max.

Any comments or critiques would be appreciated.

Thanks!

By the way, does his head look too small for his body? I'm thinking it might be.

Thanks again!

The proportions are fine, ktwebster, only thing bothering me is that his feet seem to be a little small. ( feet, not legs... legs are fine )
Nice texturing, though could be better if you added some proper illumination. Maybe next update?
It doesn't look real, nor does it look cartoonish. It looks like a soldier model from a PC game. I've noticed you saving polygons... Is it because it's for a pc game?

Tank and Freespace: Thank you for your comments.

I agree that it doesn't look photorealistic. I was aiming for a good quality video game character. How does it hold up to that standard?

I haven't done any work on the lighting, right now it's just the generic 3d max lighting. Thanks for the info on the feet, I'll work on that next.
