How do I Animate Water
Hello All.
I am currently working on my graduate film and I need to animate sea water hitting “well more so lapping”against a pier. I’ve played with noise and what not in the past but I want something better than this. Could anybody point me in the right direction to a tutorial or give any hints on this. Much Appreciated Last edited by Midget Warden; 28-04-2005 at 07:55 AM.. |

First thing you could do is add a Ripple Space Warp and place it over the pier, then bind it to the water... this already creates an effect of collision, ( also play around with amplitude and wave length values ) . Next thing you can do is add foam, preferably using particles with afterburn, because sea-foam is created in violent impacts between water and other things, suchas your pier in this case.
