2. Create a Cylinder, and a Plane.

Set the Plane Length Segs and Width Segs value high enough for “folding”.

3. Select Cylinder01 > Click Create Rigid Body Collection > Select Cylinder01, click Open Property Editor, check Unyielding.

*Unyielding means Stubborn, inflexible. If you don’t check Unyielding for Cylinder01, the cloth Plane01 WILL NOT move along with it.

That's it If you are going to attach your cloth to a deformable mesh, e.g. put a cloth on your walking girl, then you have to use "Attach to DefMesh" instead of Attach to Rigid Body.

Thanks

Thanks thats great, I was just wondering if there would be any way to stiffen up the material enough so that it would look like bristles on a paintbrush? im trying to make a calligraphy brush that will move around the screen with some rigidity until it comes into contact with the paper. thanks in advance.

I recommend doing a "fake reaction".

U could use Bend modifier for animation. Or using FFD modifier.

Because the cloth modifier "loves exploding", except you could troubleshoot all the problems and find out all appropriate settings e.g. Friction, Stiffness, Damping, etc.

Maybe u could do some experiments with other Deformable Bodies, e.g. Soft Bodies. I'm not sure... I'm not good at reactor.
