3ds Max 7: Wireframe help..!

Hello- this may be a relatively stupid problem, but I need to render a still image of a vehicle with wireframes showing, but don't want to see any back-facing. Sort of like an ink n' paint but something that will show all the faces... I tried a couple different methods, but the model is real high-poly so the computer crashes if I try to do anything but texture it. Anybody have any ideas? Help is appreciated.

I did try that exact thing, actually... and it works beautifully on smaller objects but I'm trying to do this to a vehicle and Max seems to explode every time I attempt that process.
