sss question, Max 7 ...

Hi guys..

I'm just playing around withthe sss features in max 7, just wondering, can you use an alpha map to control different surfaces density, by this i mean, say i'm creating a head and i want the lips to appear very translucent while keep the forhead less, applying the sss applies a consistance depth all around.

Forgive me if this doesn't make much sense, i'm about to unload my arss into the toilet and must run ...

Dave.
