Interior lighting
Beside the backstreet scene, I also did a simple interior scene to try out interior lighting. I want to learn how to light up correctly an interior scene. All c & c are welcome.

Nice interior design, but I think the render is too "grainy".

Hmmm, not bad....for something like this though, you really need to take a hard look at the lighting in a real room.
If you go into your living room or something and look at how it looks, the lighting won't be anything like that....in your picture, you really can' tell what's illuminating the room (I can figure out that it's light from the window by looking at the shadows....but it's awefully dark outside the window. You should also soften up a lot of your shadows. Not bad for a start, but it's got a long ways to go. And is the trim at the bottom of the wall supposed to be bright red? It's quite distracting to the overall composition...also, is that cabinate just floating, or is nailed to the wall??

Hi Puckducker - Thanks for the crits. You are right. I am not happy with it either but glad to make a start. Everyday, I am observing the surrounding, observed how the light bounces and the shadows. I hope to do a better ligting scene in future.
Hi rocknica - It could be. Trying to find out where that bright light came from. |
