sketches that pleased me...and a color piece!
Oh my god- I'm working in color!
And...I actually am enjoying it this time. My coloring skills are here to for nonexistant- so that piece pleases me greatly. And, there's a couple of fun ones from my sketchy book that I liked too. Enjoy- crits welcome, welcome! For some strange reason, nowhere on the web likes my warrior and monk images. Strangest thing... Save them on your computer temporarily to view them I guess. I apologize. Oh, and why aren't the images popping up like they should? It's just showing the attachment names- not the images Last edited by Deep Wulf; 03-06-2005 at 02:46 AM.. |

Ah- ok. One at a time then.
And the ones that aren't showing- right click and save target as, and open it on your PC. They view fine then. |

allright, from what i've seen, you are an awesome pencil drawing kind of guy ( I dunno what you call yourself), but you lack at coloring. in the 2nd image, the skin tone is waaaaay to hard. make the contrast softer. and for the rest of the armor, hair, body, etc, augment the contrast. the hair looks just a little to light, unless that's what you intended to do. but anyway, great job, I hope i was any help...

Well, I don't think its contrast, but saturation. Your colors are waaaay to saturated, too vivif. In my begining when I wanted to color skin I took a picture with some guy (girl) with the tonal color I needed and just used eyedroper to pic the shade. As for the other things, well, you'll just need to use your common sens. When you choose your color go in the middle of the color panel instead on its right side. There where the desaturated colors lie. I did like both your monk and your warrior, but I think you kindda mistake their origine a bit since the warrior looks a lot like a thief and the monk (which by definition is a peacefull person) looks a lot like an warrior. I see you manage to redraw the werewolf girl and the only crit I have is that she seems to have lost her balance and lean on the hammer. To start with color it was just a matter of time. Now you need to work hard to catch up. Good luck!
