...A DVD? Does it...dice onions?
I have a question about the new dvd, that was left still unanswered even after reading the information provided on 3dtotal.com.
I'm a Max user of intermediate experience, and I'm wondering if the DVD will go into any detail about the UVWmapping interface in 3d studio max. It's a scary world of mapping coordinates and stretching, and I wanted to know if there is anything about using this complicated facet of Max. You've done a wonderful job of creating the DVD and marketing it well on the site. A great price too! ![]() Thanks,

I think it is inside Guy Bluesummers,
Go to the training dvd section, click 1 then scroll down to the features section.. In section 3 it says: Section 03 : Mapping & Unwrapping • Mapping • Unwrapping • Exporting a Template So think it is in ![]() |

Hello! To answer you question, the answer is most definately `yes!!` It has very detailed training by the tutor on unwrapping and UVWMapping, and you can even carry the training on here with the ongoing support in the private dedicated forum.

I currently own the new training DVD but the one thing that gets me is the fact that in the 2nd part of the modeling section the video version of the tutorial is divided into 2 parts yet part B skips some stuff that part a does not cover. I mean the inital model looks very different at the end of part a and at the begining of part B (which the morph modifer was used to show that no new edges were added).
The thing is I'm trying to follow along and trying to manipulate my geometry to match that of the geomtry in part B except its kinda hard because I can't figure out what was moved where because part B skips that part. |

Hi Digital Masta, In a reasonably complicated project like this there can be some confusion and that is why we have set up a private 'DVD customers only forum' here on threedy! It is run by the author of the DVD, Richard who will be calling in there everyday to give ongoing support and help, so i suggest you sign up and make full use of this ongoing training! Details of how to do so are on your DVD, many thanks, Tom
