Dutch 2D/3D artist looking for holidayjob

Hi!,

Last week my longest holiday éver begon, because I've just past my final exams for High School. This means I'll have 3 months to test and play around with CG projects!

Unless this is really fun, I need to do something 'usefull' this summer to earn some experience and money.

The last years couple of years I worked at a tree-garden, where I had to remove bad leaves from the trees... And I can tell you that there are better things in the world than doing thát.

That's why I want to look this year for an holiday job in which I can learn interesting stuff, where I can have 'challenges', in a nice way and in a nice environment. All is better than crawling through the mud, so I would also be very happy with simple 'stupid jobs', as long as it's connected to Computer Graphics or film etc. (ie. rotoscoping work)

Because I haven't a website yet, I've summed up some things under here:
My experiences / What I could mean for you:

Software knowledge:
- [Discreet] 3Ds Max (much experience)
- [Adobe] Photoshop (much experience)
- [Adobe] After Effects (much experience)
- [Corel] CorelDRAW (much experience)
- [Ulead] Video Studio (much experience)
- [Pixelogic] ZBrush (quite some experience)
- [Macromedia] Flash (quite some experience)
- [Eyeon] Digital Fusion (quite some experience)

Skills (that are worth mentioning):
- 3D modelling
- 3D animating (a little bit of character animation)
- 2D animating (with Flash & After Effects)
- 3D dynamics
- 3D lighting/surfacing/texturing
- Post-Production in Photoshop
- Photoretouching
- VFX Compositing / Rotoscoping

About me:
- Gijs Leijdekkers
- Born july 1988
- Living in Nispen, a 'small' town near Roosendaal, in the complete south of the Netherlands
- Contact me: gijs.leijdekkers[at]home[dot]nl
- It would be the most handy to get a job or 'a mission' (freelance basis) a bit around here where I live.
- Available from now (june 11) till end of August

Till now, I've never eant something with my 'services'. For instance I've 'worked' for the graphic design of the school-paper for 4 years, on voluntary basis.

Some of my works: to get an impression of my skills:
I just realized that I couldn't post images over here so easy, so I'd like to invite you to click this link, to be able to check them!

I also have quite some 'VFX tests' (as I never have used them 'in production') which I could sent you if your interested in thát skills. You can sent me a mail in that case!

Thank you for watching, and I hope I'll get some interesting emails soon!

Greetings,
Gijs Leijdekkers

hey guy a tip. PAK DE GOUDE GIDS EN GA BELLEN. if your good enough you can get a job. i dont know if you have the time to go to rotterdam every day but i know there are lots of job offers in rotterdam in the CG world i got one from Vstep but reclined it cause i just want to have a fun Summer holliday .

well if you realy want to work in the CGI industrie you should just call some of the companys and show them your portofolio or Showreel.

but there is still the fact that its only for the sumer cause 90% of the CG studios in holland dont work in the wekend so you cant work at saterdays. just so you know that.

Duce,

Bedankt,
Colin

And for the translation:
Duce,
I live near Rotterdam and you made me a little curious, are there a lot of CG companies who need people for holiday jobs? And where should I be able to find them in the "Yellow Pages"? Under which category?

Thanks,
Colin

nou hier zijn een aantal bedrijven

Vstep
Bumbel bee studio's
MCW
