SPEEDPAINTING CHALLENGE nr. 26 - Speedpainting BANNER

I wonder why I didn't think of it before...

with a "

" to RBL, this weeks challenge is to design a Speedpaing Challenges BANNER.

The dimensions of it should be 800x250. You need to insert a following text there: "Threedy's Speedpainting Challenges". Put it in some sort of scene maybe - like toons holding letters... or a nice sign with a pretty background. Or you can just use a plain text, modest, with some sort of hints, that indicate 2d art - like brushes, pencils... etc. You are free to experiment here, you can use vetors for it, you can do it free-hand... Just do not use renders for it, it needs to be done by hand.

The time limit is a bit widened here, since you have to think it through - you can spend 24 hours IN TOTAL per one entry. You can post multiple entries, but from now on - you need to choose the one you think is the best.

Ok. This is a quick sketch. I was only playing with text in photoshop and a vectorized photo.

hmm... maybe it would be interesting to split the logotype into single letters, everyone draws a letter and later the whole logo gets build out of the best letters. Every letter with the unique style of its creator, so the logo shows these different styles and contains the 'speedpainting' topic in its own gfx. :-)

This way there also could be more than one winner... art is always subjective, so combining different likings is maybe the right thing to do? :-)

Anyway... just brainstorming.

Interesting too. But this is a competition and it should be one winner. The idea of a colective work would be good for the 2d forum.

ROB - two things -the text is a bit illegible, I'm affraid, and it's wrong

Its meant to be "Threedy's Speedpainting Challenges"

RBL - try to separate the text more from the background. Pretty good idea, but maybe the girl should be in a different place? Like smaller and in the corner etc... Not overlapping the text.

Diabolos - nice! Now you could play a bit with filters in PS, contrast, to bring out colours, bring out the outlines maybe... It looks good

ROB: Your idea is good, but you should use other kind of brushes. Something more saturated. The typography doesn´t fit very well. Go to Dafont asian category fonts to find some of them.

Diabolos: I´m agree with Michael make the colors stronger.

Michael-3DT: That was a test. Now I have one idea to bring it up but it´ll take a lot of time so I preffer to wait for a free time day.
