the excellence award

is that the only award that 3D total has? Because it might be a good idea to stimulate newcomers or beginner if there was another reward like best newcommer (spelling?) of the year or something like that. Not everyone is meant to be a great artist (yes i do include myself in that group), but that doesn't mean their actions/performance/effort can't be rewarded now does it?

aha then can we open a poll somewhere to cast a vote? off course the mods will have the final word as they'll do the work.

Yeah it is a good idea, the problem is these things take time to monitor, judge and to even make the award graphic. As these forums are run by voluteers we are kinda pushed for time already Im afraid.

Thanks all the same for the suggestion, Tom

maybe somekind of election system can be set up. you just open a poll at the end of the year so that everyone can vote and whoever wins, gets the award. as for the award graphic that to can become a small competion if need be.

btw if you're looking for another mod or something i'd be happy to help.

no problemo. if it helps i'm on gmt +1 so i'm mostly online when the other admins aren't, unless i'm completly mistaking. so that would give extra support i think. feel free to take your time, no pressure. i just thought it was discarted because there was no responce.

Yes, Tom Greenway, Tom, started 3DTotal in August 1999 as a project to make a simple 3D resource site. Then in July 2001 company released Version 2 which was seen by 100,000 visitors each month until now.

He started the forum, after that he found it grew very fast which he couldn't be bothered to keep running things himself so he started to pay some specialize moderators to run this things instread.

That why we needs to take time to think about doing a new things,)

i see, but i'll do this for free. just give me a task and i'll help. i'm on the forum anyways, so i might as well make myself usefull (+ i'm sure i'll learn a lot of new things and perhaps even faster than normal). so you don't have to think i'm in this for the money.
