Some steps:
1. Link Carrier to Dummy. 2. Select Dummy > Animation Menu> Constraints > Path Constraint> Click ur spline path. Now the chariot moves along the path. 3. Input curvelength $Helix01 at MaxScript Mini Listener, then press enter. This is the value of the spline length. I call it CurveLength. (Helix01 is my spline that is used as a path, if ur path is called spline01, then use $spline01) 4. Wire Wheel01 Y rotation to Dummy Position > Path Constraint > Percent. 5. Input degtorad(-Percent*CurveLength) at Wheel01. 2305.68 is my CurveLength. Last edited by MaggieQue-3DT; 05-07-2005 at 10:22 AM.. |

Here's a screenshot. The dummy has to be placed between the 2 wheels, and it's pivot point is exactly "on the ground".
Maybe u could try CurveLength*degtorad(-Percent) It gives the same result too. Last edited by MaggieQue-3DT; 05-07-2005 at 02:26 PM.. |
