(Maya) Movie Help - Blood and Bullets
Hello, everyone. I'm new here and pretty new to 3-D animation in general. I'm about to begin filming a movie and I need a certain effect.
There will be one scene that has a character raising her gun and shooting a bullet. I really want the gun to shoot off a bullet in the Matrix style. You all of course know what I mean. The slow mo bullet with the breaking sound barrier behind it. I've never really done animation before, so I was hoping someone could help me with this. In addition to that, I was wondering how to animate blood. Mainly I'll be using the blood after the bullet fires, lol. Oh, and I'm using Maya for all of this. A quick spash of blood to compliment the bullet. But I'm beginning to think it won't be necissary.
And when the character pulls the trigger of the gun, I want the bullet to come out in very slow motion with the broken, blurry energy thing trailing it as the bullet crosses the screen. I did find a pre made bullet effect online (Link: http://www.geocities.com/tomerep/bullet.htm). I have two questions regarding it. When I play with the bullet in Maya, I can't resize or move it. When I do, the bullet just goes back to its original size and position when I play the animation. How can I make my changes stick? So sorry if none of that made sense, lol. |
