First contact to get a job?

Hello,

I looking for a job as a 3d modelling/texturing artist.
I have the adresses and e-mails of some companies I would like to work in.

I wanted to send an e-mail with one image of one of my best works and tell them that if they're interested the can visit my page (where there is also my demoreel) or I'll send my demoreel to them. Do you think it's a good way to do it??

Because If I sent the demoreel directly, I will lost a lot of money sending that maybe it's not necessary, don't you think?

And do you have any kind of structure of e-mail where you apply for this kind of job? I would be very pleased If I could see a correct one

From place to place it's going to differ. Some companies might have something they want you to fill out, others might just ask for a sample and a resume. In any case you want to have a resume update and ready to go, thats pretty basic.
