Edge Loops Practice- Critiques plz?
Hey everyone. Just practicing my edge loops. This head model's got bones, a few phonemes, and an eye-rig. It took about 3 or 4 hours to do today, I was just playing around, but I'm still hoping I can get some critiques. I'm including a layer of my edge loops, and another of the shaded rendering. Let me know what you think!
This was done with 3DSM6 with the ink 'n paint shader.

The edge loop technique is good but it looks a little squashed up maybe spread some of the mesh/loops out - you may get a smoother result,
also regarding your head model is it supposed to look bumpy? and i think you need to give him more of a chin or neck im not really sure - great detail around the nose area - chips5k |

IMO theres way too much detail in this mesh. i think you would get a better result with fewer edge loops... also it would make the mesh look cleaner and easier to handle.
sure some models may require this intense amount of loops but this would function much better with less... IMO

Pretty much what i meant (cept i was trying to say you could keep the loops and spread them) but i think scripturez has a point there you could still maintain that look on your model but with fewer edgelops
