Looking for some talented low-poly game artists for paid gig

I work for a handheld game development company who is currently looking for 3D artists for upcoming Nintendo DS and Sony PSP titles. We're talking pretty low-poly stuff here, like maybe 100-300 faces for a DS character and 1000-2500 faces for a PSP character. Most of the upcoming work is for the DS. This is obviously paid work and for games already set up for publication.

Since the majority of our games in the past have been for the Nintendo GBA (2D sprite-based), we're having to find freelance 3D artists to bulk up our staff for upcoming projects. Specifically we're looking for:

- 3D low-poly character modellers
- 3D low-poly environment modellers

Animation and texturing abilities are definitely a plus, but it seems like the majority of our need right now is in modelling. We need people who can not only make a character in a low poly count, but also make them work properly with intuitive joints and no odd stretching. People who really understand how to get the most character and mobility out of a low count.

If you have experience in low-poly modelling and are looking for some commercial work, post below and include your name, email and link to a webpage or some samples. I'm making recommendations to my boss this week so the sooner the better. Work would be per-project and freelance, so no relocation is expected, obviously (although if you're in the Los Angeles area, you're welcome to do it onsite).

If you have any questions, you can email me at adamctierney@hotmail.com, or catch me on MSN at the same address. My AIM is adamctierney. If solicitations are frowned upon at the forum, I apologize. I didn't see anything prohibiting this in the rules, and this is the first real collection of low-poly talent examples I've come across so far so I'm a little excited.

Cheers,

Adam

To bad I'm not so good at low-poly. I'd definantely try doing 2d art if that was open, but oh well .

Good luck finding some people. Plenty of great artists on here.

I know someone who could easily keep it under 1000-2500 polygons, but hes real busy with work and stuff.

I'm interested if I don't have to relocate...

Are we allowed to know what game it is?

No relocation required, although if you're in the Los Angeles area you're welcome to work onsite if you want. I can't mention the game(s) yet.
