It would be good if you just post the picture here. The last picture looked pretty good. A lot like a childish, pranckish superhero. No crits for now. Updates?

I kinda don't appreciate you link threading like that... Threedy is a website of it's own... Call me bias... So, no comment.

I agree with Two-Left-Hands. it's like buying something from a store and going to his competitior showing him what you bought... not that the forums are competing or anything, it's just that you could just have bothered to copy the thread post here...

Talking You get what you order

OK as you order!

heres an update.. and please can someone Crit (C&C) this.
I have now modeled the ears and fixed the Topology/Edgeflow around his mouth & nose. i also made the mouth longer.
Quote:
i think the reason that he looks a bit like a child with this sulking expression is mainly based on the eye brows.....
the "stupid" expression, like the expression of a prehistoric man or a monkey ^^, which
you can see in the Reference, is missing in your model.
The ears are not very detailed, but for a comic style they 're perfect
can someone tell me there opinion/thought to make him look a "little" bit more normal?

I´m going for both real and cartoon, mixed together. (Heres the reference!)
i´ll have some hair updates tomorrow.

Regards
Bardur

To be honest I don't think you should change anything. It has personality and you get pretty close to the characters in "The Incredibles" as style. You do have some tris in the mesh you should get rid of. I know they they aren't such important zones for animation, but you never know. And besides that, getting used with the polyflow its a good thing for future projects.
This model has potential. You just need to work on it.

Cuts and such!

Ok, these are tentative cuts I made on your mesh. I warn you though, I'm not an expert (yet) and if other threedy people say I'm wrong with these cuts you might wanna listen to them

as it stands I'm not sure that would be the best way because it kills the flow a bit, but it does make quads out of the tris. I'm hoping people reading this will crit my cuts if they are wrong

it`s good so far,I would make his brow a little heavier.
You will see in the refference that he is scowling, like heavy brow area.
A lot of expression can come from the eye area.

Under the nose from the front view looks too "ridged". Try smoothing that line out.

Looking good, but one crit I have is the nostrils... they look too far apart, and the "skin" that makes them up seems too thin. I know this is supposed to be cartoony, but it just doesn't look quite right to me. Other than that, excellent model. Can't wait to see it textured.
