Job Description and Responsibilities:
Fathom Studios (http://www.fathomstudios.com) is dedicated to producing stunning animated imagery through passion and creativity. Fathom evolved from creating award-winning computer graphics and animation for industrial and broadcast productions to combining advanced technology, vision and imagination in the development of feature films.

Fathom Studios is seeking professional and experienced CG Effects Artists to assist us with the completion of our independent CGI film, Delgo (http://www.delgo.com). The work should be able to be done from anywhere as long as the artist had a fast Internet connection and a strong working knowledge of Maya and Shake. Responsibilities include creating effects using particles, fluids, rigid simulations and cloth solvers to simulate physical or natural phenomenon (fire, crowds/flocking, fluids, smoke, etc.).

Requirements:
• Experience with particle systems and other advanced techniques for the creation of natural phenomenon and other visual effects
• Must have a strong understanding of light, color, composition and mood
• Ability to realistically simulate physical elements
• Ability to distinguish subtle differences that affect the matching of elements created in multiple mediums
• Ability to work as a team with diverse personalities and maintain a sense of humor
• Excellent communication and problem solving skills
• Production minded, creative, and responsible
• Willing to do what it takes to meet production deadlines
• Fluency with Maya, Shake, Photoshop, and AfterEffects
• Strong creative and technical skills
• Knowledge of MEL scripting and expressions a plus
• All work will be preformed in our studio in Atlanta, GA or EFX candidate must have access to a high speed Internet connection and necessary hardware and software
