This is a problem I've had ever since I started using custom wire parameters for my finger curls in hand animation. I wire up various rotations using the float list to a dummy box at the wrist of my hands and I've got sliders I can play with to make the fingers move. Well I need to set an out of range type controller to make everything loop, but for some reason the finger curls don't loop, not eve when I go into my curve editor, find them by hand, and set the out of range controller then. Is there something special with custom wired parameters that I'm not finding?

Are you using CS or max's basic bone setup for this?

I used Max's bones, but I made my own system. It hinges off a box for the pelvis and uses IK chaines linked to dummy boxes, the dummy's control movement and they also have the custom wireing for the fingers.
