This rocks: ) I guess everyone invovled in the contest as well as others joining you can now create a thread under the contest rules thread, this way everyone can see your progress without having to back track all the post: ) Edit: ) oops, Hmmm i wonder if this might work: ) WOuld it be possiable to close out the main thread so that it stays ontop of the new individual thread: ) or is there away around it: )

Fantastically creative and looking great! I'm well impressed! He looks like a great character, and the message implicit in him is really smart. =D Is this low-poly for a game?

Nice stuff, Cyrenn. I like how you managed to throw in some wacky ideas while still making him look like he'd belong in a Megaman game. I think this guy could really shine if you modeled some bubbly liquid inside of him and worked with alpha maps to make the glass somewhat transparent.
Is the mesh all one piece, or are the arms and legs separate objects? How many triangles is he? I agree with you, I think we should close and sticky the main thread. That way people can easily check the guidelines in a clutter-free environment. |

Thx fo realz: )
Guy BlueSummers-3DT - Hey Guy thx for the comments, Actually its all in good fun, I thought it would be a cool Idea to create original Mega Man Villains, so I figured why not try and get others involved to see what kind of crazy concepts they would come up with. So far it seem slike were getting quite a few artist taking a crack at it : )
Zcubed - Thx , yea I guess I figured I would make him a crazy concept: ) Im still wondering how Im suppose to paint these textures LOL! evil-98 - I'll have to get you a post of his current count, its somehting like 4,700 Plus tri's : ) As for the rig had to work on a new one since I midified his feet so he could bend or squat more : )

Didn't answer my question.
Your earlier images showed that the legs and arms weren't actually atached to the mesh, have you changed that? I don't know much about texturing either, but you can hit me on AIM or MSN and I'll do my best to help you out. ![]() |

Lol!
Sorry Z cubed: )
Yea I'm wondering how Im going to come up with that solution, you know the bubble texture inside the glass: ) Im sure I'll figure away: ) Hopefully: ) Hes all one piece for now: ) I will be detaching him apart when I rig him up, but I use paul Steeds Method of texuring a character, which consist of making the whole object one piece then adding an edit mesh on top of the stack and then detaching each piece as part of the element: ) But I will have created the one 1024 x 1024 map before then: ) I'm not usre if that made any sense: ) LOL! But by the time I rig him again he will be broken up in different sections : )

Thx for the comments; ) Well here is his UV map : ) I decided to post it up just so that My thread can move to the top : ) Woot! WOot! Edit - COme to think about it, I suppose I should just delete one of his legs and unwrap him again so I can have bigger geometyr to paint on: )

New UV layout: )
The other method I was trying didn't sit to well with me: ) I was trying to paly around with a new tecnique, and it just wasn't getting along with me: (
So I'm starting my UV mapping over with the way I normally do them: ) Still got some pieces left to do: ( Ok Updated, got the mapping done.

Well, looks like this is a good method to me, that's a really neat UVW template.
