[Game] Next Gen FPS project recruiting...
Next Generation FPS
Team name: Frantic Games ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Project name: Not specified at present. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Brief description: Frantic Games is seeking talented, enthusiastic, hard working Staff to join our team and Help us turn game concepts into reality. We are looking for talented, experienced people who have a passion for games. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Target aim: Using a state of the art Next-Gen Engine we are creating an intense story driven first person shooter that combines Tactical Military Warfare and Science Fiction with rich detailed environments. Features will include: 0 Accurately realised physics 0 Deform-able environments 0 Dynamic lighting and shadows 0 Realistic weaponry and equipment (for the time period) 0 Varied selection of vehicles 0 Direct control over a team of highly trained squad members. These are just a few examples of what you will see in this title. the best is yet to be announced. Premise The basic premise of the game is a tactical military warfare theme set in the future. If you've seen films like Black Hawk Down and The Thin Red Line then you'll know the kind of military feel we mean. The Sci-fi element plays a vital role in the game as the underling visual impact. Our game will have a truly unique visual style, the scope of which has never been attempted before. The story will be fairly dark compared to other games. There will be plenty of interesting characters and plot twists to keep the player hooked in a world raped by cataclysmic natural disaster. There are various political Agendas at play, resulting in an increasingly evolving threat of global war. You play a member of an elite tactical unit originally brought in to investigate the events that lead up to the beginning of the story. You soon learn that the precursor of the disaster was not solely down to mother nature. As the story progresses you'll learn the real truth behind the disaster and play a vital role in bringing the offenders to justice, simultaneously ending the war. There are several factions of enemy throughout the story, each having their own reasons to win the fight. Our focus is to opt for colder, more subtle content and effects over outrageous, O.T.T. futuristic technology that you might expect in a standard sci-fi concept. Through the use of intense atmosphere, emotional storylines and explosive action this tactical, realistic but unorthodox title will be unlike any game ever made before. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Compensation: We are aiming for a full commercial release [Game], This is a Proof of concept Project. All money is being invested into technology at present. There will be no money paid until the project generates a profit. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Technology: In-house engine. The project is initially being built for PC Release. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Talent needed: If you are applying any position, please also include a link to an online portfolio All resumes must be in English. HIGH and LOW- RES MODELLERS We’re looking for talented modellers with the ability to model detailed High and Low-Poly Characters, Weapons, Vehicles and Environmental Props. Good Working knowledge of normal maps is preferable but all applicants will be considered LEVEL DESIGNERS We're looking for level designers with strong evidence of experience with modern level editors, who can build solid, visually stunning environments and scenarios for a 3D game. This position absolutely requires experience designing and completing levels, though that experience need not be commercial. Applicants must be able to learn and adapt to new level design tools. PROGRAMMERS We are looking for experienced programmers to help with the project. Specific skill areas we're seeking include: audio systems engineering, general game play, AI, and physics simulation (vehicles), TEXTURE ARTIST We're looking for texture artists that have good knowledge of creating textures for game titles. Must have experience creating normal, specular, diffuse and effects maps. ANIMATORS We’re Looking for animators with high skill and knowledge animating characters, weapons, Mechanical and environmental props. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Team structure: We are currently recruiting, fulfilling positions from the ground up. We would also like to inform you about Frantic Games other game, 1944. Please note 1944-game is a seperate IP, it is not affiliated with this FPS in terms of content or theme. 1944 is only connected to this project in a developmental sense. 1944 is a highly realistic military simulator covering the events of D-Day. 1944 uses a state-of-the-art next generation engine to power a thrilling and expansive WW2 simulator. Hi there,
Experience could come from working within Mods or even own projects - but you must be able to show a good solid understanding of your chosen field and a real passion towards it. Obviously any industry experience is a great bonus. We know how big companies always ask for 2-3 years industry experience and since we are indipendant, we are primarily looking for people with, perhaps, advanced knowledge in a particular software application, a full and impressive portfolio of work or past game projects or modification experience. As long as you are talented, a team player and enthusiastic we want to hear from you! |

This project looks really awesome.
Hm...seeing it is futuristic and you don't really have reference for futuristic soldiers. I would be interested in Concept art if you ever needed some. Quote:
