the cartoon shaders are tricky things. Be careful with the number of shadow blocks, and the highlight, I think is too strong. I know you want it too look shiny, but I think its too much.

Looks good though, getting there

I like that design. Modelling is fine too. Did you use Ink 'n paint material?
I agree with Sketchbookjack about higlights. I'll lower the number of them at the head area. Maybe more color variations.
It is very nice character.
