3DS MAX 7 Error
Ok ive been using 3ds max 7 for a long time without any issues whatsoever but yesterday i went to continue working on m6 ive been modeling and at first it opens fine, then i added and changed a few things on the model turned on mesh smooth to see how it looked smoothed and 3ds max froze and told me it had an internal error and had to close. So anyways i let it close and then tried to reopen my model and now it wont even open the model anymore. it keeps giving me the same internal error message. I know its not the model file thats corrupt because i loaded the trial version of 3ds max 8 on my comp and it opens with no issues. When the error popped up on 3ds max 7 i looked at the details for the error report and it reads:
This error report includes the following: * Operating System name and version * Product name and version * Video driver name and version This error report includes the following files: acminidump.dmp dmpuserinfo.xml dumpdata.zip The error seems really weird to me because Ive never had the problem of running 3ds max 7 on this computer and i haven't made any changes to the video card, operating system or anything. So pretty much any help would be great. |

acminidump.dmp, dmpuserinfo.xml, dumpdata.zip are all minidump files that autodesk would use to check and debug, it's worthless to us and dosent relate to a specific error.
If you have the ability to open your file in max8, then export the mesh out and save what you can. It's not uncommon for max to make things worse and just eat your file entirely. |
