Vauxhall/Opel Astra GSi '92

I've been working on this for a while, it's been my mainstay. I've 'finished' it, but have always come back to it, it used to be in splines, but was converted to a basic mesh and modelled/chamfered/etc.

Modelled in 3DMax 5 - 7.5, with Vray Advanced.

I've yet to work on the 'material', the render was 15 minutes, I was stuck for a while. If anyone needs a hand with their scene, I can email you the materials, etc, if you're stuck. It is a work in progress at the moment, and there's a lot of tidying up to do.
I know, the roof is stuck up at an angle where it meets the windscreen,

looking good very good but theres one thing i dont like and thats the air intake thingy on the cars hood, it would be better if put the air intake on the front instead of on the side.. but thats just my opinion.

keep it up

The model is great, maybe seems a bit off because of the shape of the wheel arches. The intakes which I think are actually "outtakes" are fine. Thats what they look like on this type of car. They are not supposed to take any air in.

Thanks for the comments!
Unfortunately, I never used blueprints for this, I just gleened it from a few of photos of my own car!
The headlights are a simple glassy material with a hi-res adobe illustrator file in the bump map, and I haven't properly UVWunwrapped it yet!!

The car itself is completely standard, apart from the grille section which should have a badge, but I like it without. And as SNap007be said, those cooling vents are standard.

Well, it is GREAT if you didn't use any prints. I don't think many ppl could get it this accurate without the prints (some even with the prints).

Hi! I am writing to you from Ukraine, so that apologized for sloppy language. I really liked your 3D model of Vauxhall / Opel Astra GSI'92. I love this very machine. It would be great to have a 3D model. I do not have enough experience to do . Could you PLEASE send 3D model of the machine (Vauxhall / Opel Astra GSI'92). Here's my Email / Angel888@ua.fm or ICQ / 405-405-241

Hmm, your first post and you're asking for other people's hard work for nothing. Are you for real?

Great model, not my kind of car but still very well done.

Er, what?

Keep trying to model it yourself, otherwise how will you improve? I'm all for helping people out but to ask someone for their work which they have lovingly created is a bit rude (compacted by it being your first post). Well, I think it is anwyay. And yes, last time I checked I was human but the jury is still out.
