? about 3d procedural texture in maya

how do you parent a 3d procedural texture to an object so that it stays put when the object is animated?? As I have it now, the texture moves all over the animated object

Kaej you need to parent the object to the 3d texture manipulator …i.e select your 3d texture manipulator and then shift select your object and hit p …..hope that helps

Thankyou, funny thing is I knew that, but it wasn't working. I believe you need to do the parenting before the object is bound to any joints, or before those joints are animated. Anyway, all i needed it for was 360 degree rotation so i parented the 3d texture placement node to the root joint of the character, works fine. cheers!
