40k Rhino & Pred
Hello All
Did these on a rainy weekend a coulple of weeks ago and just thought I would throw them up to get some feed back before I texture them. Speaking of texturing does anyone know of any good texturing tuts for tanks or painted metal finishs etc as texturing is not my strongest skill. All comments welcome. cheers P.S I use 3d max by the way.

The model is looking good. I would suggest looking into the Total Textures! Some of those would look really nice on that model. Make sure you don't make it look TOO clean both with the modelling and the especially with the texturing. That's when it starts to look fake; especially with a vehicle that sees war.

Wow, those are excellently modelled. Look very much like they do in the game! Good luck with texturing them.

Love them, the 40k tanks are brilliant, I was going to go through and model all the Imperial Guard ones but only got as far as the Chimera. (See Here)
Keep going, can't wait to see textured models! (Perhaps even a tank battle scene?)

Hey Caesar thats a great Chimera, particularly the tracks cause they can be a bit of a hassle. Question though: have you done any texturing as I'm still trying to find out the best way to do this for my own tanks so I could use some tips, pointers or tuts.
cheers.

Sorry about the long time for reply, lost the thread.
I haven't done any texturing, I'm really bad at it and was (when I was going to stick it in a scene) going to give it a basic texture and hide the rest with lighting. I know, probably wouldn't work. So sorry, I haven't a clue when it comes to texturing, probably in the same boat as you!

Thanks all
Looks like I'am going to have to do some searching on the net for some good texture tuts but it will most likley have to wait until the xmas break as I'am burried under work at the moment but once all the xmas stuff is out of the way I get back into it again in the mean time I'll try and throw up a wire frame when I get a chance ![]() Cheers all and a very Merry Christmas to you all.
