3ds max, splines & snap
Hello,
I'm a total noob on this, so bear with me... I'm trying to come up with my first spline head, with a help of a tutorial. So it bases on creating splines, connecting them and then creating surface using the surface modifier. Well, this worked ok for at first, but at some point I need add some more surface by grabbing some of the segments at the very edges of the model and the "shift-moving" them, to copy the contour. In this new spline then - according to the tutorial - I'm supposed to select one end-vertice and snap it to a vertice in the model and the just use snap and "create line" to connect the rest of them, magically creating the extra surface as I go...anybody still with me? Well, here's the problem: I can't snap the end-vertex into the vertex in the model!!! The snap "indicator" shows up fine as I move the vertice, but it won't snap. I have my snap on 3d mode and snaping to vertices only... Any idea why this doesn't work? |
