Textures V1-3, and Max 8

I purchased the total 3d textures a couple of years ago (2?) and when I try to open the materials folder, 3dS gives me an "obsolete format" error and the materials all come up as blue. Is there a patch for this to upgrade those?

Thanks!

obsolete format is usually when you are using matlibs from an older versionof max, if you load them and your materials are all blue, it sounds like max is no longer searching the right path to your textures. ( the textures are not obsolete cos they are only jpg's)
check the texture paths that max uses to look for your materials,it is possibly the fact that you have installed max 8 and it is only using the default paths.
Then just re save the matlib.
Hope this solves your problem.
