Animation Speed

3ds Max 6

I have made a basic animation using the Auto key, i was wondering is there a way of rendering the animation at half of the speed as it runs too fast.

Thankyou.

The easiest way would be to just scale your keys. Right click on the timeline, go to 'Configure' then click on 'Show Selection Range'. Now select everything in your scene, select all the key frames in the timeline, and there will be a white bar underneath the timeline that you can stretch to scale the keys.

The other way to do it is to go into the 'Time Configuration' dialogue box and increase the framerate until it looks good. Although I'd recommend the first method, as changing the framerate can cause problems later.

i tried the first method and although it worked its still to fast. I cant stretch it past 100 as it cuts off the end of the animation. Is there a way of extending it so i can stretch it past 100 and still have the end of the animation?

I think this will work:
Open the "time configuration" dialogue box and click on the 'Re-scale time' button (Animation group). After that, just adjust the length to whatever you want and the frames will be distributed according to what you put there. Don´t forget that you will only get the effect you want if you change the value of 'length' in the "Re-scale time" dialogue box. Hope it helps
