picture too big [3dsmax]

hi i want to put a picture in to a plain but a picture is to big and i want a picture to fit in the plain. what should i do?

apply a UVW Map to the plain and scroll down and click on FIT....but this will distort your image, if you click on FIT IMAGE, it won't be distorted but may have to change the size of the plain, but you could then click on FIT and then uniformally scale it... hope that helped...?

set the plane's width and height same as the resolution width and height.
