Too much bump map on the picture, unlighted lights don't look as good as the lighted one. Could use a background. Table could use some details (scuffs, scratches). You might make it look as if the table is made up of seperate pieces of lumber, otherwise, you'd have to have a laminated top (which I don't think existed in this time period). Turn down the sheen of the table material.

Hmmm, I thought Tesla was russian. The scene looks Ok to me, even if it's quite simple.

i suggest a shell modifier for the lightbulbs, they could use some depth. if you do that, it should really make the interior of the light look better. also, as prophet said, turn the bump down. the wood would look a lot better if you used a bump on that.

other than those small changes, i like it.

When Tesla was born, that teritory was under Austria. Tesla 's father was ortodox priest, and it is a pure Sebian family, like many in Gospic, so read a little before you can talk about something.
Everything else you want to know on PM.

People, you are right abouth bulbs. The bulbs has A 2 sided material, so I don't see the point to add a shell modificator. I think the main problem is a refraction. It's to hi. When I have some time i will try to improve this scene. Maybe, add some old wach.
What do you think.

You need a shell modifier because bulbs are, indeed, shells. When you apply the glass modifier without a shell, the glass (refraction) reads as if the object is solid throughout...and we all know that's not the case with lightbulbs.

How are these bulbs powered? And, why lighbulbs? Didn't Edison invent the lightbulb (incandescant anyway)?

Nikola Tesla (1856-1943), born in Croatia (at that time within Austria-Hungary), is well known and need not be particularly introduced. I feel it is necessary to cite his words that he was equally proud of his Croatian motherland and Serbian descent. He completed his elementary and secondary school education in Croatia (in Gospic and Karlovac), and studied in Graz and Prague ......

....and if you didn't know......od stoljeca sedmog tu Hrvati disu..... no hard feelings...
