What are your Likes and Dislikes about forums?

Greetings,
I was just curious about what people like and dislike about different forum software they have used over the years. I'm not looking for specific forums you don't like I'm interested in features you love and which ones you hate, and which ones are just plain buggy and annoying. What would make them better, what would you like to be able to do that you can't already do?

As you can see I don't post a whole lot in forums, I think that's probably because I have always found them to be a bit clunky and annoying to use.

I don't know, am I wrong? Are forums designed really well and everything works like it should and we have all the features we need already built in?

I look forward to your reading your thoughts. Hopefully this doesn't cause a massive war, I was just curious about your opinions.
