_Bus Stop_ We will continue with the small stuff to this right. As we see where everyone’s skill level is, the comps will get harder. Now, on to the comp. The idea, Some sort of simple shape or figure waiting at a bus stop. The bus is running late, when it should be on time. Then after awhile the bus shows up but doesn’t stop for your object, leaving it behind. Animate what you think this would look like. Give life to this object, I want to see emotion, pain excitement, whatever. If he cries, I want to cry with. Can be 2d or 3d, that’s up to you. You don’t have to stick to this, it’s just an idea to get you started. _Rules_ - The due date is May 19th, (two weeks from now) a Friday. Voting will be on that Saturday. - Maximum animation length is 30 seconds, unless you just have to have more. - Recommended screen resolution in 320x240 (you can do 640x480 if you want, but why would you). - You can post W.I.P.s but you are only allowed one complete entry. That link is also final. No redos. - Websites where you post your finals is up to you. - Remember, it's about animation, use your time for animation, not to get the best render possible, unless you can afford it. - Use of plug-ins not allowed. Must be key framed (hand animated) - Try to use Quicktime or Divx if possible. If you can, make a gif. - Voting will be as follows - Pick your favorite animation. First Place- Second Place- Third Place- Next week, we kick it up a notch. Good luck! BiG ToE

So do I, it's open to a lot of interpretation and humor. Good job, BiG ToE!

Just to remind everyone, you dont need a character to do this one. A box will do just fine.

Ok i do have one more quick question just out of curiousity, do the winners get anything like they do in the speed modeling challenges? I know you are really focused on getting this up and running but I was just wondering if that had been discussed yet!
Ok now im done asking questions and ill start on my piece as soon as I get off of work! |

Alright, I'm having a really good time animating this. However, I was wondering, after we're done animating, can we add visual effects? I'm asking because my animation really wouldn't look too good without these two effects I can do in AE.

I don't see why not, but remember, this is about the animations, not the special effects. |
