Elf's Sketches
Hi, first post in thread in the 2d section!!
Gona be posting some of my sketches up here for comments etc as im trying to improve and want to move to to colouring them in photoshop when my graphics tablet arrives. Anyway heres a sketch of jango fett from star wars that i did yesterday. |

Sketch looks nice. There are perspective issues with the arms and the drawings looks kindda flat. Defining more the light source and the shading on the shaded part could help make him pop more.

Thanks for your replies, and yeh i think ur right about the perspective Avatar, i wont change that one but i will try to use ur advice in my other work. I did few really quick sketches of a friend the other day and some other stuff plus quick sketch of samuel jackson which i will post when i get time.

Just a few sketches i did this week, Been so busy though havent had time to do much.
The female is a concept im working on for modeling, I know, her neck is too long! lol |

I think I like the concept2 one best, it has some nice and clear outlines, and does not look as manga-ish as the last of your attachments =)
and if you want to go for colouring them digitally, then a clean sketch with strong outlines certainly makes things easier.

for your anime girl, you might want to separate the nose and mouth a little by moving the mouth down just a little bit. also, for the profile, maybe make the nose come out a little more, as it looks kind of squashed right now. kind of like this:

Thanks memod, and i see what ya mean nucron, i might try editing it in photoshop and coloring them when i get my graphics tablet. I love that second picture u posted.
