Necromancer's Mantle

Guess this is the start of another attempted project ala 3DSMax and Zbrush. This started as a 3d doodling in Zbrush that I decided to bring back into max for retopo work. It's starting to look more presentable, so I thought I'd post it. I think this project will probably be posted at intervals so people can download my meshes and setups and have a look at how all this is going on. It may also help with the critiques!

Take care, and I'm off to get some Tacos!

Hi guybluesummer3dt.
From what I can see It's a torso or armour?
I wont let loose with any crit till your a little further on. It looks too low poly and undefined yet to be worth criting.
I admire your sharing.

You're right, it is pretty low poly. I'm still gearing up for the Z-brushing of a lifetime! When it's through, it'll be like a spellcaster's mantle. The story behind it is that it's a mantle you put over your shoulders and it grows into your flesh augmenting you with unholy powers. It's pretty cool sounding, so I'm going to try to convey that into the piece too. =)
